Instructor Information

Being an instructor offers many rewards;

  • Giving back and helping develop better Project Managers
  • Developing your speaking skills,
  • Networking
  • Obtaining  low cost PDU’s

One of our primary goals for our instructors is to give them a place where they can increase their presentation skills. Speaking skills are a learned skill, and we offer the opportunity to develop these skills to our instructors.

We do not expect that you will be a perfect instructor at the start; all we ask is that you try and use your experience to grow.

INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS

All instructors are required to act in the co-instructor role for a minimum of one class before assuming the lead instructor role.  This is to ensure that the instructor is comfortable in front of the class, and understand the course culture.

You are not required to have been a student in our class to instruct.

INSTRUCTOR TRAINING

The chapter typically offers the instructors training before each class (usually the Saturday before the class). This training provides both the ground rules for conducting the class and the specific suggestions and exercises to increase your proficiency as an instructor.

While this training is not mandatory, we highly encourage that you attend if you a planning to teach the next session.  Most people find they learn something new every time they attend one of these session.
